Fundraising
The Cherry Creek Speech and Debate Team must fundraise each year to supplement our annual budget. Our fundraising enables us to attend tournaments, provide additional supplies for the team, host team events, and continue to maintain the excellence of the speech and debate program. This year the Cherry Creek Speech and Debate Society and the CCHS Speech and Debate team plan to raise more than $25,000 for the program, in addition to providing volunteers for various events. These funds are used for tournament entry fees, classroom materials, computer expenses, assistant coaching stipends, copying, and fun activities.
Fundraising Expectations
Each Advanced Speech and Debate team member is asked to raise a minimum of $120 for the program.
There are a number of ways to meet this expectation:
1. Fresh Colorado Peaches -- Students may sell peaches for $24-38 per box and students raise $10- 12 a box.
2. Butter Braid Sales – Butter Braids sell for $12 each and students raise $5 per braid.
3. Cookie Dough Fundraiser -- Cookie Dough Sells for $12 and students raise $5 per order.
5. Student Sponsorship -- Students may send letters requesting donations/sponsors on their behalf.
6. King Soopers Cards -- Students can sell/purchase reloadable King Soopers Cards for and they receive 5% of the sales purchase made with the card. The initial card is $5 and has $5 loaded on it.
7. One can simply choose to donate the money. Some students have part-time jobs or receive allowances or pay for household chores and would prefer to donate the money.
